Most college consultants meet a student junior or senior year, learn their grades and activities, and build a strategy around what looks good on paper. That produces a competent application. It does not produce an essay that sounds like the student, a school list the student actually owns, or a decision the student feels confident about.
When AWren works with a student through college counseling, the work is different because the relationship is different. Kristen understands how this student thinks, what they care about, where their confidence lives and where it doesn't, and what kind of environment will let them thrive. Navigating college athletic recruitment alongside the standard college process adds a significant layer of complexity — different timelines, NCAA eligibility requirements, coach communication, and the challenge of integrating athletic goals with academic fit. AWren supports student-athletes and their families through all of it.
This includes building a realistic recruitment timeline, understanding NCAA Division I, II, and III eligibility and the differences between them, guidance on how to communicate effectively with coaches, and integrating your student's athletic goals into the broader college search so the final list reflects the whole person, not just the athlete.
